Biberach celebrates: Miss Vollmer is 100 years old!
A very special day for Biberach! The honorary citizen Sieglinde Vollmer celebrated her 100th birthday in the technology and service center of the renowned sharpening specialist Vollmer. Among the guests were not only their family and employees, but also high -ranking representatives of the city and the Biberach district, who congratulated them on this impressive anniversary.
Mayor Norbert Zeidler did not miss the opportunity to express his warmest congratulations to the jubilee. "This day is special because we celebrate a woman's 100th birthday that we are incredibly proud of," he emphasized. District Administrator Mario Glaser also joined the congratulations and paid tribute to Vollmer's life's work, which has been connected to the family business since childhood.
a life for Vollmer
Sieglinde Vollmer, who was born on November 30, 1924, devoted her whole life to the company that her father founded 15 years earlier. With her outstanding foreign language skills, she worked in export from 1961 and took over the management together with her brother in 1964. To date, she remains active and is a member of the Vollmer Group's supervisory board and curator of her own foundation, which supports numerous non -profit projects in Biberach.
Despite her 100 years, Vollmer does not want a big celebration. Instead, she celebrated in a small circle with a musical accompaniment of a tuba quartet and serenade of the city chapel. A special highlight was a small play that reminded of her childhood when she was involved in "Peterchen's moon trip". The laudation held Martin Kapp, who recognized the merits of Sieglinde Vollmer for the company and the community.
