The journey in the Merkurbergbahn is an unforgettable experience, because it offers breathtaking panoramic views across the region, including the Black Forest and the Murgtal. In order to give visitors comfortable access, the technology and mountain paths were modernized on the basis of EU regulations. This gave the train new, barrier -free cars in historical design. The train is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and offers space for 12 seats and 26 standing room in the two cars.
The following driving prices are incurred for the use of the Merkurbergbahn: Single tickets for adults cost 7.00 euros for mountain and descent and 4.50 euros for simple trips. Children from 6 years pay 3.50 euros or 2.50 euros. Important for all visitors: From January 7th to 30th, 2025, the train remains closed due to revision work, including the popular "Merkurstüble" restaurant, which offers guests a variety of regional specialties.
