Amazon has to hire streaming service in Germany-there is a risk of punishment!
The streaming giant Amazon faces serious challenges: The Düsseldorf Regional Court has decided that Amazon must no longer offer its popular streaming service Prime Video in Germany in its previous form. This drastic measure results from a patent dispute in which Alcatel-Lucent had submitted an injunction against Amazon. As from oe24 , Amazon threaten high penalties of up to 250,000 euros or even properly if the company does not react immediately.
The defined decision is seen as a severe blow to the streaming market. Although another lawsuit against Amazon has been rejected, the judgment on Prime Video remains the central question. Both companies were not available for comments at the time of reporting. Consumers are eagerly awaiting how Amazon will react to this development and which adjustments to the service will be necessary.
