Study information day in Halle: New opportunities for art and design talents!
On January 9, 2025, the study information day at Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle will take place. The event is aimed at students of the upper grades and all interested parties. The information day will be carried out at the two locations in Halle (Saale) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., including the Kunst and Campus Design Campus. Participation is free of charge and no prior registration is required.
The program of the study information day includes the presentation of the study opportunities in art and design, exchange with students and teachers, as well as answering questions about application and admission procedures. There are also tours via the university locations, visits to studios, workshops and work rooms as well as folding advisors in various fields of study. program overview and folder consultations
The event starts at 9 a.m. with information points on Campus Design, Campus Art and the Hermes site. At 10 a.m. the information event takes place with a greeting by the principal and the deans. From 12:15 p.m., tours through workshops and on the campus are offered. In addition, there are lectures and consultations on master courses at 1 p.m.
The following offers are provided for the folding advisors:
- painting/glass : gatekeeper house (1. floor), from 2 p.m., consultant: Prof. Natalie Häusler, Anja Langer, student.
- Buchkunst : Kornhaus (1st floor), 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m., consultant: Prof. Sabine Golde, Eliah Brockhaus.
- graphic : Kornhaus (2nd floor, office Prof. McDevitt), 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., consultant: Prof. Paul McDevitt, Frederike von Hellermann.
- further consultations in the areas of painting, textile arts, sculpture and ceramics also take place from 2 p.m., in different locations on campus.
In the Design Department, folding-out advice is also available, including for industrial design, play and lending design as well as interior design, which take place between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The university, which was founded in 1915, offers a variety of courses in the departments of art and design and currently has over 1,000 students. Applications for bachelor, diploma and teaching courses can now be submitted for the admission procedure 2025 via the online platform my.burg-halle.de . The application deadlines vary depending on the department.
