Mitsubishi brings the fully electric Eclipse Cross: revolution on Europe's roads!
On October 27, 2025, Mitsubishi will unveil its latest model, the all-electric Eclipse Cross, which is the company's first all-electric vehicle since the i-MiEV. This innovative SUV aims to serve the largest segment of the European car market. Equipped with a powerful 87 kWh battery, the Eclipse Cross offers an impressive WLTP range of up to 635 kilometers. Additionally, a smaller battery choice has already been announced for 2026, providing further options for future buyers.
The design of the Eclipse Cross follows Mitsubishi's characteristic “Dynamic Shield” design language. Striking features are the three-dimensional front section with a honeycomb structure and the striking “wide hexagon” rear. Inside, passengers can look forward to an electrochromic glass roof and 48-color LED ambient lighting, which create a modern ambience.
Technical specifications and features
With dimensions of 4.49 meters long, 2.08 meters wide (with mirrors) and 1.57 meters high, the Eclipse Cross offers enough space for comfort. The efficiency features include retractable door handles, active air flaps and aerodynamically optimized side mirrors. The front-wheel drive electric motor enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 170 km/h. Four driving modes are also available: PERSO, ECO, COMFORT and SPORT.
Mitsubishi relies on versatility when it comes to charging options. Users can charge the car from household sockets, with AC charging up to 22 kW and DC fast charging up to 150 kW. The vehicle is connected via Google Built-in, with over-the-air updates and remote services via the Mitsubishi app.
The cockpit of the Eclipse Cross is technically state-of-the-art - with a 12-inch infotainment display and a 12-inch driver display, complemented by a Harman Kardon® premium audio system that ensures high-quality sound.
Safety features and service
When it comes to safety, the Eclipse Cross offers numerous features, such as MI-PILOT for semi-autonomous driving, emergency braking assistant as well as lane keeping and blind spot assistant. A parking assistant with a 360° camera ensures easy maneuvering in tight spaces. The body structure and a high-voltage safety concept ensure the protection of the occupants and the battery.
Mitsubishi has also put together a comprehensive service package. Buyers can look forward to a guarantee of up to eight years on the battery and the vehicle, plus twelve years against rust and eight years of roadside assistance. These factors aim to appeal to drivers who value sustainability, comfort and a stylish, compact SUV.
In today's digitalized world, Generation Z, which includes those born between 1996 and 2009, also has a crucial role. Social media and the Internet are commonplace for many of these young people. Over a third of Generation Z is constantly online. Platforms like Snapchat, which are extremely popular within the generation, allow users to not only communicate with each other but also symbolize personal bonds, as demonstrated by the “Snapchat Friend Solar System” feature, which depicts close friends as planets. This generation is not only a key target group for social commerce and influencer marketing, but they also use social media as a source of inspiration for new products.
The increasing internet usage among Generation Z indicates a profound change. Over 95 percent of young adults access the Internet via mobile devices. As they interact with influencers and are inspired by their content, they actively shape their purchasing decisions. According to current statistics, 37 percent of this generation have already purchased products that were promoted by influencers.
This real-world connection and influence of social media demonstrates the need for companies to be creative and adaptable to thrive in the digital age.
In summary, the all-electric Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross not only impresses with technological innovations, but has also recognized its potential to appeal to a young and environmentally conscious group of buyers.
