EU Committee discusses violently: FPÖ demands withdrawal of the Green Deal!
In the Federal Council's today's EU Committee, the FPÖ caused an excitement when it brought an application that demands a departure from the controversial climate goals of the Green Deal. The parliamentary group leader Andreas Spanring said that the EU Commission was responsible for the bankruptcy of numerous companies with its climate limits and bureaucratic requirements. He emphasized that the "green transformation" of the EU undermines the technology neutrality and endangers Austria's competitiveness. The freedoms asked the Federal Government to vigorously speak out against the plans to abolish petrol and diesel engines and the existing EU sanctions against Russia in order to avert an economic disaster, such as ots.at reported.
Spanring also criticized the widespread lack of transparency within the EU and called on the black and green federal government to demand the complete disclosure of the Corona vaccine procurement contracts with the European Commission. In this matter, the coalition government was unreasonable when it rejected the application of the FPÖ. According to Spanning, dealing with the tax funds of EU citizens is a major problem and does not contribute to strengthening trust in the EU. With regard to another EU regulation on genetic engineering, he warned of a loss of Austrian sovereignty and, together with other parties, spoke out against the planned changes that would deprive the member states of their decision-making about the use of genetically modified organisms, which fpoe.at reported.
