Carinthia becomes a European university landscape - exchange opportunities for everyone!

The FH Carinthia has ventured into a new era and was officially recognized as European University ACE. According to Klick-kaernten.at , the university can now form Europe-wide university alliance after being legitimized by the EU Commission. Governor Peter Kaiser said that this was not only a formal title, but also enforced Carinthia as a location for education and research in Europe. With a budget of 2.2 million euros from EU funding, the cooperation between nine universities is to be promoted, which will lead to 9,000 exchange opportunities for students, teachers and researchers.

Innovative exchange programs and digital platforms

In a kick-off event recently held in Madrid, detailed implementation plans and goals were presented. Within the next four years, 1,000 of these international exchange places will be available for the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences, both in physical and digital form. In particular, an e-campus is set up, which acts as a digital platform and should support the collaboration of the universities. The academic year 2024/25 at the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences starts on October 1, 2024 with the winter semester, followed by the courses.
