An important step for health promotion in Vienna's kindergartens was celebrated today by signing a cooperation agreement between Viennese health promotion - WIG and seven of the largest carrier organizations in Vienna. The “Network Healthy in the Vienna Kindergarten” project pursues the goal of actively improving the health of children, employees and parents. Dennis Beck, Managing Director of Vienna Health Promotion - WIG, emphasizes the indispensable cooperation for the high quality of the network. The signing was supported by important players in Vienna's childcare. Brigitta Schwarz from the City of Vienna - Kindergartens emphasized that health promotion was a fundamental part of early childhood education. This initiative promotes targeted measures thanks to which children learn from an early age to a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, Mag.a Gudrun Kern of children in Vienna emphasizes the role of holistic pedagogy, the movement, nutrition and mental health integrated into the everyday life of children. In addition, mental health is also emphasized with the aim of creating a harmonious and respectful environment that allows children to work on an optimistic future. This synergy of different organizations ensures that health promotion in kindergarten has consistent importance.

Open positions for health promotion

To further support health projects in Vienna, jobs are also advertised in order to gain skilled workers in various areas. Health officers are currently being sought for the teams "Healthy City - Healthy Organizations" and "Healthy City - Healthy Regions".
