Summer vacation 2025: Children discover professions in Lower Austria!

In Lower Austria, the long -awaited summer vacation program "Business4kids", which is designed for children and adolescents aged seven to 14 years, will soon begin. This initiative represents valuable support for working parents who are looking for a reliable care situation during the summer vacation. The first registrations are on May 5th at 8 a.m. at Family Pass.at/Ferienwoche possible and require a NÖ Familienpass. As in previous years, the program is organized by Lower Austria Familienland GmbH and the Lower Austria Chamber of Commerce and offers a variety of activities that deal with business, science and the cultural landscape of the country.

The holiday week of "Business4kids" extends from July 15th to 19th and comprises about 80 different workshops, sports units, theater performances and excursions. Parents can have their children looked after from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while the kids have fun and at the same time gain valuable experience. State Councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister praised the diverse program as an excellent opportunity to relieve families, while the Chamber of Commerce President Wolfgang Ecker pointed out the urgent need for solutions to improve the compatibility of family and work. This is particularly important in view of the current shortage of skilled workers that affect many industries.

Wifi Kids Academy offers other options

Following "Business4kids", the free "WiFi Kids Academy" takes place from July 22nd to August 9th, in St. Pölten, Neunkirchen, Gmünd and Mödling. Here children and adolescents have the opportunity to playfully discover different professions and get a first picture of their possible professional future. At the end of the week, the participants receive a mini championship letter that honors their коллективen effort and at the same time issues it as a testimony of their curiosity and their commitment. Due to the committed participation of experienced volunteers in the Academy, the children offer children a practical and interesting learning environment, as is emphasized in the press release of APA-OTS.
