Focus on service athletes: Teaching and sport perfectly combined!
Colorful and future -oriented - the new project in Styria aims to help young competitive athletes to link sports and vocational training. At the trade fair for education and work at Graz Airport, Governor Mario Kunasek (FPÖ) proudly presented the concept that offers prospective athletes the opportunity to combine their career in competitive sports with an apprenticeship. In order to enable this, the training times can be extended by one and a half years and the training and competition times can be individually adapted. So now find their place in Styria for these young talents, such as orf.at reported. reported.
new opportunities in teaching
Different training models were developed to promote the professional and personal development of the apprentices. The teaching offers exciting modules such as an apprenticeship college that strengthens the social skills of the participants and a comprehensive first aid course in the second year of apprenticeship. In addition, the job rotation program gives the apprentices insight into different departments of the state administration. These initiatives not only increase the technical skills, but also the personal maturity of the trainees and are a highlight of the training offers, such as land-oberoesterreich.gv.at explained.
With the support of over 150 apprentices in 18 different professions, Styria strives to counteract the decline in training numbers, which fell by 2.5 percent last year. A total of more than 14,900 apprentices were trained in over 4,800 Styrian companies. The developed programs and the individual promotion of the prospective competitive athletes show how important the state of Styria takes the connection between education and sport.Details | |
