Wind power revolution: 808th turbine in Ludwigsfelde takes off!
Energiequelle GmbH has put the 808th wind turbine into operation in Ludwigsfelde, Brandenburg. The new Enercon E-138 system achieves an output of 4.2 MW and has a hub height of 160 meters. This wind turbine was built at a landfill site and supplies electricity to around 5,000 households.
Construction of the facility began in February 2024 after an objection and lawsuit was successfully dismissed. The wind turbine was able to feed the first kilowatt hours into the grid right from the start of commissioning. Erik Klaus, project manager at Energiequelle, described the commissioning as a significant milestone for the company.
