City of Steyr is investing in the future: Budget with a focus on quality of life!
Steyr, Österreich - challenging financial situation, but courage to invest!
The municipal council of Klosterneuburg has decided to take a balanced budget for 2025 despite a tense financial situation. Financial City Councilor Konrad Eckl presented impressive figures: a total volume of 108.2 million euros income and 22 million euros for investments. Even if a deficit of 5.3 million euros occurs, this is covered by reserves. This solid foundation is to keep the city capable of action and is essential for future projects. The city sees itself well positioned in order to pursue a clear line in financial planning, such as noen.at reports.
Steyr courageously invests in the future!
Similar efforts are shown in the Styrian municipal council, where a estimate was passed for 2025, which expects 184.5 million euros in income and 185.9 million euros in expenses. Here a minus of around 1.4 million euros is predicted in the earnings budget. Mayor Markus Vogl emphasizes that despite difficult financial requirements, the city does not want to save investments in education, leisure and infrastructure. A total of around three million euros are planned for educational projects, while around four million euros will flow into the urgently needed construction and the renovation of roads and cycle paths. Projects such as a new crawling room and the design of a game area show the willingness to invest in the quality of life of the citizens, such as meinbezirk.at reported.
Investments in both cities appear as a challenge, but the clear strategy shows a conviction that future investments will also boost the regional economy in the long term. With solid plans and courageous decisions, Klosterneuburg and Steyr will work towards a positive development.
