Wiener Rathausplatz, 1010 Wien, Österreich - The Agricultural technical school (LFS) Hollabrunn was present on May 30, 2025 at the "Waldviertel PUR" pleasure fair at Wiener Rathausplatz. This event emphasizes the culinary, cultural and tourist peculiarities of the Waldviertel. The status of the LFS Hollabrunn received special attention by visiting Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, who found out about the products offered on site.

The LFS Hollabrunn presented numerous wines from the renowned state wine gut Retz, which organized the tasting in close cooperation with the Retzer Land regional marketing. Particularly noteworthy is the Gewürztramin berry outdoor 2021, which was recently recognized as the best white wine at the Znaim wine food. A total of around 600 wines were in competition on the Znaimer wine food, including around 100 from domestic regions. Historically, there are close connections between the wine -growing areas of Retz and Znaim, which makes the award even more important. Education Councilor Christiane Teschl-Hofmeister praised the Lower Austrian Landesinwister for her contribution to the international success of the Weinlandes Lower Austria.

wine industry in Austria

The Austrian wine industry has a well -structured system that is supported by various organizations and committees such as the national wine committee and regional wine committees. These bodies work closely together to guarantee the quality and transparency of wine production and to meet the requirements of the market. Austria Wein Marketing GmbH also plays a central role by developing marketing strategies to promote the quality of domestic wines and increase export opportunities.

The importance of the wine industry for the region and beyond is not only shown in the number of wines produced, but also in the continuous development of wine -tourist activities and innovation projects. The Vievinum, the most important trade fair for the Austrian wine industry, takes place every two years in Vienna and offers an excellent platform for producers and consumers alike.

The combination of culinary diversity and high wine quality is not just a figurehead for the Waldviertel, but for all of Lower Austria. The LFS Hollabrunn and the Landesweingut Retz actively contribute to continuing this tradition.
