Wiener SPÖ starts job offensive: new opportunities for young people and women!

As part of a comprehensive initiative, the SPÖ Vienna has launched a revolutionary job offensive that is supposed to boost the labor market and support young unemployed and women. Mayor Michael Ludwig announced the “Joboffensive 18plus” program during the red club conference, which is based on the successful “Joboffensive 50plus”. From autumn, 1,000 young people who have been unemployed for more than nine months can look forward to new job opportunities. The goal is clear: to bring young people back to the job and to motivate companies through a four-month funded employment to hire them, as Kosmo reported.

In addition, the SPÖ Vienna plans to found a “Women's Labor Foundation Vienna”, which is aimed especially at women over 25 years without vocational training. This initiative is intended to support returners by granting 300 euros per month for unemployment benefit and focusing on promising professions, such as in climate protection, technology and healthcare. At the same time, the SPÖ Vienna has announced measures to improve working conditions in the health sector, including investments of 150 million euros for further training and better remuneration, which should increase the attractiveness of the Viennese hospitals.

The Vienna SPÖ women are also passionate about the rights and equality of women. They demand an end to inequality that many women have experienced for years and fight against violence and discrimination. Because every third woman in Austria experiences a sexual assault at least once in life. The SPÖ women described their campaign as "social, safe and solidarity" and offer women numerous opportunities to become active and to work for a just future. Through their presence in all 23 Viennese municipalities, they create platforms to promote women's policy concerns and promote the commitment in society, so spoe-frauen.wien .
