Students translate texts in the EU competition: Talents from Mödling shine!

Mödling, Österreich - VBS Mödling has proven a remarkable linguistic talent! Emina Sinanovic, Sara Osmanovic, Benjamin Schwab, Holly Turner and Marie Pleninger, all third graders, took part in an EU-wide translation competition, in which they translated texts in the language pairs of English-German and Croatian-German. This is already the second participation of the school, and headmistress Isabella Engelmeier-Wilfling emphasized that this was a sign of the high commitment of the school in the field of foreign language promotion. The winners will be announced in spring and can look forward to an invitation to Brussels, such as Noen reports .

The competition offers the participating students the opportunity to develop their skills in professional translation and to get a first insight into the complex world of translations. Such initiatives are not only an excellent opportunity for the student community, but also help to raise awareness of the importance of language skills in an increasingly globalized labor market.
