Austria helps Syrians: 1,000 euros for the new beginning at home!
The Interior Ministry of Austria has launched a new support program for Syrians who want to return to their home country voluntarily. Through the Federal Care Agency (BBU), willing to return will receive up to 1,000 euros for a "new start". In addition to financial help, support for organizing the journey home and the procurement of necessary documents is also offered. This was initially discussed by the Press and shows the commitment of the state to make it easier to return. The support comes at a time when the situation in Syria is unclear after the Assad regime has fallen and many interested people still observe the developments on site.
return advice and motivation
Although extensive return consultations are already offered, there are targeted actions to specifically motivate people from certain countries. As vienna.at , the BBU has recently had an increase in inquiries about return to Syria. At the moment, however, this is often general information, since specific return trip plans are not yet in sight.
In this context,Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) announced that the government would also like to help organize flights. In addition, the Ministry plans to bring criminal people back from Austria - provided this enables the security situation in Syria.
