Non -profit work for the end of asylum: an important step towards integration

A new project in Graz offers asylum seekers the opportunity to work non -profit and gain valuable experiences. The cooperation with the Holding Graz creates a framework in which the participants can acquire fundamental professional skills. According to a broadcast of the Graz Integration City Councilor Robert Krotzer (KPÖ), these activities are not only important for personal development, but also for integration into society.
The participants work under the guidance of youth at the work of up to 17.5 hours a week and receive a wage of five euros per hour, but the monthly earnings are limited to 110 euros. According to ORF Styria, the project should offer at least 120 to 150 people meaningful employment and thereby facilitate entry into the Austrian labor market.
