First integration course in Bad Kissingen: A step to unity!
Bad Kissingen - On November 26, 2024, the starting signal for the first integration course at the Volkshochschule (VHS) in Bad Kissingen, after the official approval by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in October. Around 20 participants of different nationalities and age groups take part in this course. Mayor Dr. Dirk Vogel, who was also present at the opening, underlined the critical role of language for successful integration into society and the labor market.
The integration courses include a total of 700 teaching units, of which 600 language lessons are up to level B1, while 100 teaching units provide important information about the German legal system, culture and history. Another course for second -time learning ends is also offered and consists of 1000 teaching units that also learn the Latin alphabet. Both courses end with exams, which serve as a prerequisite for residence rights and educational paths, such as the "life in Germany" certificate and the German test for immigrants (DTZ).

The VHS will also offer exams such as the Telc language tests from A1 to C2 that are recognized across Europe. This is the only Telc examination center in the Bad Kissingen district.
