40 years of Caritas workshop Tulln: A place of hope and integration!

Alten Ziegelweg 65, 3430 Tulln, Österreich - The Caritas workshop Tulln celebrated its 40th anniversary and at the same time opened new rooms for professional integration. In the future, specialists for consultations in the areas of work assistance, vocational training assistance, youth coaching and job coaching will be available in the new offices that are located in the former attic. The move from Kirchengasse 20 to the newly adapted building on Alten Ziegelweg 65 marks an important step for the support of people with disabilities on their way to the world of work, such as caritas-salzburg.at

Gerald Zwischenberger, the head of the workshop, explains that 56 employees are currently working here, supported by 13 supervisors. In six departments, wood, sound and natural products are produced and order work for companies are carried out. In addition to these activities, a mobile order team provides house and gardening in Tulln. The workshop has been offering an essential platform for the integration of people with disabilities into the labor market for more than 40 years. This is supported by various offers of professional integration, which have been an important part of the inclusion landscape in Tulln since 2005, explained Rudolf Dörr-Kaltenberger, head of the professional integration of Caritas.

The Ministry of Social Affairs Lower Austria, the AMS Lower Austria and the state of Lower Austria promote the projects of the Caritas workshop Tulln and thus support the integration of people with disabilities into the labor market.
