Future of the electrical industry in Austria: Negotiations start under pressure!

In a tense economic situation, the collective agreement negotiations (KV) of the electrical and electronics industry began on March 21, 2025. Employers and employees presented each other their claims without naming concrete figures. The negotiators of the Feei, the association of electrical and electronics industry, are aware of the critical situation of the industry, which is underpinned by current data. The securing of competitiveness in order to obtain the jobs is the highest priority, such as ots.at reported.

Currently the rolling inflation in Austria is 2.76 percent. These figures are particularly important because the Feei represents the interests of around 300 companies with around 74,000 employees, whose production value in 2023 lies with impressive 24.61 billion euros, as is highlighted by feei.at . The next round of negotiations will take place on April 9, and the industry is under pressure to find a solution that meets both the economic requirements and the needs of the employees.
