A dramatic incident occurred in Upper Austria: A 20-year-old woman who worked at a petrol station was released without notice during her sick leave-and all of this via WhatsApp! As Today. In order to fulfill her service obligations, she quickly organized a colleague who stepped in for her and informed her supervisor by message about her illness. On the same day she was able to get sick from her family doctor.
But her boss's reaction was not long in coming: On the same day, she received the release without notice via WhatsApp. The gas station tenant justified this with the accusation that the young woman had consumed alcohol and other substances during her layer. But the Chamber of Labor intervened because the employee had behaved correctly. It was legally advised and finally the AK complained about unjustified dismissal at the labor court, which led to a comparison in which the employer had to pay 1,400 euros.

The young woman has not only set an example for herself, but also for other employees, that illegal terminations are not tolerated.
