Fight for justice: Trauner workers wins against discharge!
Traun, Österreich - A dramatic labor law from Traun attracts great attention! A warehouse worker was released without notice because he is said to have become palpable to his supervisor. However, the employee concerned rejected the allegations and looked for support from the Chamber of Labor (AK). This intervened and brought the controversial case to the labor and social court. Like Apa-OTS came to the conclusion that the dismissal was completely illegal.
The incident occurred after about two years that the man worked for a labor supervisor while working for a parcel deliverer at the same time. The supervisor had asked for the worker to work overtime in one evening, which he rejected because he had a private appointment. Instead of showing understanding, the worker was released without notice the next day. After intensive negotiations and a lawsuit by the AK, an additional payment of almost 10,000 euros was fought for the illegally dismissed worker, including open claims for wages, special payments and unpaid overtime.
a victory for the rights of workers
AK President Andreas Stangl emphasized how important it is to seek help immediately in the event of problems in the world of work. The case illustrates the importance of the Chamber of Labor and its role in order to protect the rights of the employees. The AK vehemently campaigned for its member and was ultimately able to enforce the right to almost 9,800 euros. Such cases are not only legally significant, but also send a strong signal for other workers not to simply settle with unjustified layoffs.
