Individual strengths of the employees: Key to the company's success!
Individual strengths of the employees: Key to the company's success!
The current Hernstein Management Report strikes alarming tones: In the business world, the binding of employees, especially among 30 year olds, is increasingly at risk. A representative survey of 1,500 managers in Austria and Germany showed that 90 percent of the respondents believe that younger people felt less connected to their employers than earlier generations. In Austria, even 60 percent of the managers see this, compared to 48 percent in Germany, such as OpenPR reports.
The causes of this concern for this are varied: changed living conditions, a clear change in values and the already noticeable lack of personnel reduce the binding of employees to the companies. It is particularly noteworthy that 76 percent of the managers find a lower inhibition threshold in younger ones to change jobs. Apart from these factors, the so-called work-life balance of only 9 percent is seen as the main reason for the sunken bond. Nevertheless, there are opportunities for improvement, because a good working atmosphere is regarded by 74 percent of managers as a decisive factor for employees, followed by attractive career perspectives, which considered 62 percent of respondents, reports OTS .
The importance of flexibility and adaptability
In addition, flexibility at work is a growing trend, which is considered essential by 51 percent of managers. The study also illuminates that 25 percent of managers identify flexibility and adaptability as increasing demands on employees. Michalea Kreitmayer from the Hernstein Institute emphasizes that individual strengths and personal characteristics of employees are becoming increasingly important for companies in order to remain competitive in the complex and rapidly changing world of work. These findings from the report reflect a clear request to rethink the existing work culture and to meet the needs of younger employees.
