Chamber of Labor generates 79 million euros for employees in Styria

Steiermark, Österreich - The Chamber of Labor (AK) Styria impressively demonstrated in 2023 how important its consulting services are for the population. According to AK director Johann Scheuch, around 1,200 legal information was given every day, which is a record level. As part of the comprehensive consultations, the AK achieved an impressive 79 million euros for its members, money that would otherwise have been lost, as the Orf Styria reported.

An essential part of this success was achieved through the legal disputes in which the AK in labor law has scored 9.6 million euros. In particular, the conflicts were often with ongoing wages and salaries. In addition, a total of 40.4 million euros was achieved in social law, with the majority of pension benefits in court. In the area of bankruptcy protection, the person concerned could also be brought back around 18.4 million euros from the insolvency-fee fund by intervening by AK and ÖGB, according to the
