Christmas miracle: Fundraiser saves animals in need!
The COMÚN Foundation has launched an impressive initiative to help animals in need in economically challenging times. How ots.at reports, every donation will be doubled until December 24, 2024, which means important support for small associations and initiatives that care for animals. The “Ladyhof” in the Waldviertel, which cares for 39 ponies and horses, as well as many organizations that look after stray cats and dogs, are under pressure and urgently need financial resources to continue their valuable work.
The board of COMÚN, Sebastian Bohrn Mena, emphasizes the urgency of this action: “The animals can do absolutely nothing about the predicament they find themselves in.” The clubs often rely on the support of donors who can help via Paypal or bank transfer. All donations collected will go directly to the animals in the coming year, making a significant difference.
Support for animal protection projects
The global animal protection organization FOUR PAWS is also committed to the welfare of animals that suffer under human influence. Since its founding in Vienna in 1988, the organization has developed extensive programs to help animals in need, be it through emergency shelters or through educational campaigns for respectful treatment of animals. FOUR PAWS advocates for stray pets and wild animals that live in conditions of abuse and pursues sustainable development in animal protection work.
The combination of these two initiatives reflects the need to not only provide acute assistance, but also to create long-term solutions for the welfare of animals. It's a call for solidarity and action that has particular weight at this festive time - every targeted action can make a difference.
