TurnGala Colours of Light” impresses with show highlights!
The premiere of the TurnGala 2024/2025 with the motto “Colours of Light” took place on December 28, 2024 in the Deutenberghalle Villingen-Schwenningen. Jürgen Koch, President of Turngau Zollern-Schalksburg, praised the event and emphasized the balanced mix of competitive sports and artistry in the two and a half hour program. The work of director Harald “Harry” Stephan, who was supported by the brothers Marc and Eric Klein, was particularly highlighted.
The lighting effects of the show were well coordinated with the motto and contribute to the special atmosphere of the gala. This year, the TurnGala is touring in twelve cities over the turn of the year and is presented in cooperation with the Swabian Gymnastics Association (STB) and the Baden Gymnastics Association (BTB). At every performance, a local children's club group comes on stage, including the performance of the young gymnasts from TSV Rißissen in Ulm/Neu-Ulm.
Highlights of the show
One of the highlights of the gala was the performance of the German national aerobics team, led by Cosma Müller, whose performance drew long applause. In addition, Bart van Dyck alias “Barto” surprised the audience with an impressive performance in which he forced his body through a wire clothes hanger.
Other impressive performances came from Jenny, who shone with an illuminated Cyr hoop, and Luca, who presented his self-developed “Cross Wheel” with daring combinations. The Ukrainian sisters Valeria and Daria also caused enthusiasm with their partner acrobatics. Director Marc Klein was positive about the halfway point of the tour and praised the good atmosphere in the show troupe and the smooth processes in technology and set-up.
