Students explore democracy: excursion to the Vienna Parliament enthusiastic!

Langenzersdorf, Österreich - The 4b of the Langenzersdorf middle school has undertaken an impressive digression into the world of politics and visited the parliament in Vienna. On this exciting excursion, the students immediately felt the importance of the historic building. The magnificent architecture left no doubt that important decisions for society are made here. In an interactive program under the title "Who represents me in parliament?" The students learned everything about the political system, the choice of MPs and the basic principles of democracy. This exciting excursion turned out to be a real key experience for the pupils, such as meinzirk.at reported.

A highlight was the personal meeting with the National Councilor Andreas Minich, who took the time to discuss his parliamentary work with the students. His insights into everyday politicians were both informative and inspiring. In addition, the students created podcasts and conducted interviews with Professor Stefan Schennach, which made learning a lively experience. The commitment of the learners shows how important such excursions are for understanding political processes.

The selected classes will have the chance to take part in a final event in the European Parliament in Strasbourg. On March 24, 2025, the participants will travel and will experience cultural activities there before performing the last program items in parliament on March 26, 2025. This project offers students the opportunity to expand their perspective on European topics and actively learn with the help of interactive formats, such as pelhq.eu
