On Friday, May 16th, the Rosalia-Kogelberg Nature Park was presented with the “Nature Park of the Year 2025” certificate. This honor was presented at the Meierhof Pöttsching by Johann Thauerböck, the President of the Association of Austrian Nature Parks. The nature park, which extends over 7,500 hectares and includes 13 communities in the Mattersburg district, is the first nature park in Burgenland to receive this award after 20 years. He is recognized for innovative projects and his commitment to preserving regional biodiversity. A total of six applications from three federal states were evaluated by an independent jury of experts.
