LASK before new signing: Czech winger on the way!
The LASK is facing a significant upheaval! Like the Czech sports portal infotbal reports, the offensive player Krystof Danek could soon move to Linz. The 22-year-old winger from Sparta Prague will initially be signed on loan for this season, with a purchase option worth around 1.8 million euros. Danek, a U21 national player for the Czech Republic, has not been used much this season and is now expected to bring a breath of fresh air and more offense to LASK - especially since the Linzers are currently without the injured wingers Moses Usor and Lenny Pintor.
Markus Schopp takes over at LASK
The club has also made a drastic decision: Markus Schopp will be the new coach and will also take on the role of sports director. The Black and Whites urgently need to improve their sporting situation after suffering four consecutive defeats in the Bundesliga and now going six competitive games without a win. Last Sunday there was a bitter 1:5 defeat against Wolfsberger AC. Schopp, who will lead his first training session on Tuesday, will make his competitive debut on September 14th in the away derby against FC Blau-Weiß Linz.
The 50-year-old coach brings a lot of experience, including stints at TSV Hartberg and FC Barnsley. He has also played for various clubs, including Hamburger SV and RB Salzburg. Meanwhile, LASK says goodbye to Managing Director Sport Radovan Vujanovic, who is leaving at his own request. The association would like to thank him and the previous supervisory board member Thomas Darazs for their work and wishes them all the best for the future, as the LASK announced in a statement.
