With an impressive performance, the firefighters from the FF Lafnitz showed their skills in several disciplines and were rewarded with performance badges. The FF Lafnitz was also successful in the medical service competitions. Nine members competed at the Bronze level and all were able to achieve the coveted badge. In addition, four groups showed exceptional performance in the fire service management test, which took place in Lafnitz, in the bronze, silver and gold levels. Ten comrades received the badge in bronze, two in silver and even four in gold. These tests underline the commitment and professionalism of the firefighters in Lafnitz.
Tradition of honors
The excellent work of fellow firefighters is not only recognized in Lafnitz. A celebratory awards event took place in the Stollberg regional area in November, at which numerous members were honored for their many years of service. A total of 144 veterans were recognized for their loyalty to the fire department. The head of the regional area, André Kühn, emphasized the importance of voluntary service and thanked the members for their commitment. Particularly outstanding achievements were recognized with the Cross of Honor of the Saxony State Fire Brigade Association, with some comrades able to look back on impressive 70 years of fire service service. These honors show the cohesion and tradition within the fire service community kfv-erz.de reported.
