Firefighter dies in a tragic traffic accident in Lichtenberg!

Jasnitz, Österreich - A tragic traffic accident shook the Waidhofen/Thaya region. On Saturday evening around 7:38 p.m. The accident happened when two vehicles, including a badly damaged Audi and a VW bus, collided on the road. The Audi came to a standstill after the collision, while the VW bus was thrown onto the roof by the force of the impact. The driver of the VW was thrown out of the vehicle and succumbed to his serious injuries. This tragic event meant that firefighters and emergency services from all over the area were alerted to provide their help, but when they arrived it was already clear that no human rescue was possible, such as ffwaidhofen.at reported.

In parallel to this incident, there was another accident that required the intervention of the Waidhofen/Thaya volunteer fire brigade. On December 13th, shortly before 4 p.m., a regular bus in Jasnitz crashed against the railing of a fire water pond for unknown reasons. Fortunately, the driver and all occupants were unharmed. The bus was finally placed on a side street, while the fire brigade cleaned the lane of vehicle parts and splinters. This presented the emergency services with another challenge, which, however, was mastered within 30 minutes, such as Noen.at

These incidents show the dangers lurking in road traffic and the risks that emergency services are repeatedly exposed. The fire brigade and other rescue workers were in shock about the loss of a comrade and nevertheless did their work in the difficult situation to help the victims of the accident. While the clean -up work at the scene of the accident was in full swing, the federal road 5 was closed to traffic to ensure security for the emergency services and carry out the rescue of the damaged vehicles.
