Trainees successfully take over management in Emmendingen!
A remarkable step in healthcare training was taken in Emmendingen. For the first time, twelve trainees from the vocational school for nursing independently managed a ward at the Center for Psychiatry Emmendingen (ZfP) for two weeks. This means an innovation in the training process in which the prospective nurses not only take on responsibility, but can also gain practical experience in their future professional world, such as Baden newspaper reported.
At the same time, 14 young people started their professional careers in the Emmendingen district office. District Administrator Hanno Hurth welcomed the new trainees and wished them much success. In a varied first week, they find out everything about their new tasks. From politics to administration – the training content is diverse. Six of the new employees will become administrative assistants, others will be trained as surveyors or begin studying social work. The comprehensive introduction is complemented by joint activities, including a health-focused program and team-building measures, which are also aimed at giving new employees a successful start. This was in Regional trends held.
In total, the district offices in the region are currently training 35 trainees, which underlines the efforts to combat the shortage of skilled workers in various areas. The initiatives, both in the NDT and in the district office, show the clear trend towards making training practical and giving young people responsibility at an early stage. Such projects are crucial to increasing the quality of training and supporting the next generation of workers in the region.
