Extensive renovation work on the Inntal Autobahn will start soon!

From March 10, 2025, ASFINAG begins with far-reaching renovation work on the A12 Inntal Autobahn between Hall-West and Innsbruck-Ost. These measures are part of a comprehensive plan to improve traffic conditions and increase traffic safety on this highly frequented section. The work includes the renewal of the road and the renovation of the bridges in both directions. The renovations are expected to take until the end of November 2025, followed by drainage work that will continue until April 2026, such as

conversion and improvements

ASFINAG is investing a total of 20 million euros in this project, which also includes the construction of a new noise barrier in the ampass area. In order not to affect the traffic flow during the construction work, two lanes are maintained per direction. This means that drivers can use their usual paths without having to expect long -term locks. The work at the Innsbruck-Ost junction also includes an expansion of the exit in the direction of Bregenz, so that three traces with a width of 3.50 meters will be available in the future, such as Meindezirk.at reported.

In addition, the establishment of a temporary construction road will be necessary, which together with an auxiliary bridge serves to ensure the accessibility of access during the work. These preventive measures are intended to ensure that both private transport and urban traffic are not disturbed sustainably while the necessary renovation work is carried out at the same time.
