Christmas magic in Eimke: stories and music for young and old!
On Friday, December 13, 2024, visitors to the Eimker “Schadess” awaits a varied program for children, which includes stories and songs from the musician and actor Johannes Kirchberg. The event begins at 3 p.m. and is aimed at children aged 5 to 10 years. Kirchberg set poems by the well -known children's book author James Krüss. In history, a chick asks what was first: the chicken or the egg, and embarks on a relaxing journey to find answers. On the same evening at 7:30 p.m., Kirchberg presents his new song program entitled "On the other hand", in which he celebrates the ups and downs of life with catchy melodies and a good shot of humor, as the uelzener press reported.
literary homage to Erich Kästner
But that's not all! On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at 6 p.m., the Lena Inter Jazz project will be presented in the Eimker Theater, which will increase the anticipation for Christmas with a demanding jazz repertoire. In the coming year, on April 6, 2025, Johannes Kirchberg will be on stage again, this time with a tribute to the great poet Erich Kästner under the title "A man provides information". He will bring Kästner's time -critical poetry and his sharp observations alive and slip into the role of the poet. He brings Kästner's famous words in front of an audience, how "there is nothing good, unless you do it", and shows how relevant his texts are still today, what the Süddeutsche Zeitung noted. The performance will surely be an interesting encounter between two age and both literarily and musically.
