Olsberg Christmas market 2024: A festival for the whole family!

Olsberg, Deutschland - Olsberg turns into a festive oasis of wellbeing! On the weekend of December 7th and 8th, 2024, the Christmas market will make the city shine with over 20 creative and gastronomic stands. After the successful restart last year, the preparations are in full swing, and the team of Touristik und Stadtmarketing Olsberg GmbH and many volunteers are working hard to create an unforgettable experience.

Tina Mettner from the expert Olsberg enthusiastically reports on the positive response of the last event and the numerous commitments from the exhibitors. But the rush also brings challenges, especially when providing additional Christmas market huts. Thanks to the support of local clubs, including the Blasmusikverein Niedersfeld and the village community Elpe, many huts were made available. Visitors can look forward to handmade decorative items, regional beekeeping products and culinary delights such as wild soup and oven cakes.

A Sunday open for sale, a Christmas cover car shuttle and the "outpost" on the Pape Vierggen farm with mulled wine and grater cookies provide additional variety. For the little guests there is a children's carousel, the Nikolaus and an exciting action program in the city library with children's theater and Christmas quiz. In addition, children can paint Christmas tree balls in the "Wichtelwerkstatt".

A special Highlight is the Strunzertaler campaign: When buying a city voucher from 25 euros, there is 5 euros free credit-but only on Sunday! The Christmas weekend begins on Friday, December 6th, with the "Anglow" on the forecourt of the Isken bakery, where the "tower bubbles" create a festive atmosphere. In order to offer visitors an undisturbed experience, part of Bahnhofstrasse is declared a pedestrian zone. The closure applies on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
