Cold market in Ellwangen: Experience the festival full of highlights!

The cold market in Ellwangen starts on Friday, January 10, 2025, and will last until Wednesday, January 15th. The championships of the event are the focus on horses, with a horse award and a parade that will take place on Monday. The event aims to point out the upcoming preparations for the Landesgartenschau 2026, whereby many events are relocated to the city center.

The Ellwanger Marktplatz acts as a central location. The unofficial starting shot is given to the "Beat Night" in the town hall on Friday evening. On Saturday morning, the participants can compete from 12 p.m. as part of the Ellwanger Kutzlauf. On the same evening, the rural youth invites you to her “green ball” in the town hall.

The official opening of the cold market takes place on Sunday, January 11th. On this day, the exhibitions "House, Garden, Agriculture", the Ellwanger Technikmesse and the Ellwanger Energy Days are opened. Over 80 exhibitors will present their products and services throughout the cold market.
