Young Uni East Tyrol: MINT workshops inspire young people in summer!

The young university will soon begin in East Tyrol, which will take place from July 28 to August 1, 2025. The focus of the workshops is on MINT - mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. According to Dolomitenstadt , the event is organized by Innos GmbH in cooperation with nine regional partners: inside.

With more than 30 workshops that extend over three valleys, exciting offers are guaranteed. The workshops take place in Matrei in East Tyrol, Heinfels, Sillian and in the Lienz Talboden. In particular, the young university offers practical insights into science and creative professions for children and adolescents.

The activities are diverse and range from the design and manufacture of your own fashion piece to robotics programming. In addition, the participants can explore their personal strengths and skills and create their own bubble tea. A particularly exciting plastic workshop will include the simulation of a washing machine and the examination of microplastics. The workshop "Cool with Kohl and Cola" also combines chemistry with process engineering and lets the participants immerse yourself in the fascinating world of science, so Welcome East Tyrol .

Children's Summer University East Tyrol

In addition to the young university, the children's Summer University also takes place in East Tyrol, which runs from July 11th to August 26, 2025. This event offers around 50 workshops that also focus on MINT subjects and include cooperation with various local partners such as the Museum Aguntum and the East Tyrolean cultural network. The aim of the children's Summer University is to convey knowledge in an entertaining way and to inspire them for science and technology, reports East Tyrol today .

The workshops are diverse and take place in various facilities, from bird and mosaic workshops to robotic construction with LEGO to water experiments. Children can explore the world of science in a playful way. The event attracted around 350 participants last year.
