Anniversary concert: Seemann chapel Hillmicke starts in the festival year!

The Seemann chapel Hillmicke starts its anniversary year 2025 with a New Year's concert, which will take place on January 11, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. Since its foundation in October 1950 by five young men, the Seemann chapel has developed a permanent place in the music culture of the Sauerland and is known for its wide range of symphonic brass music.

The concert program promises an appealing mix of classic and modern pieces. Among other things, Edward Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance No. 4" and the overture for the operetta "The Bat" are on the program. A special highlight will be the Xylophone solo "Memories of Circus Renz", performed by the soloists Peter and Max Stracke. In the second part of the event, modern compositions are presented, including "Euphoria", "Gibraltar", "Kung Fu Panda" and also a medley of well -known sailor songs, which was premiered for the anniversary and was composed by Sebastian Middel.

As part of the 75th anniversary of the Hillmicke Seemann chapel, numerous celebrations are planned. From September 12th to 14th, 2025, a district music festival will take place in Hillmicke, which is also dedicated to the anniversary. The first events were announced during the annual general meeting, including the opening concert. A well -known seven -member Bohemian chapel has already been hired for the district music festival, and the dance band "Airport" of the Gerlingen Music Association will also occur.

The young musicians have the opportunity to present their skills on the first day of the festival. The Musikverein Hillmicke will also appear in a tap. Elections were also carried out at the annual general meeting. Felix Schneider, Marie Strehling and Ekkehard Kästel were confirmed in their offices. Members were also honored for their many years of active membership. Karina Tump, Marie Hilchenbach, Fabian Tump and Eva Schneider were honored for 10 years of active music. Matthias Zänker received the honor for 25 years of loyalty to the club.

Tickets for the New Year's concert are available in advance for 10 euros and at the box office for 15 euros. The Musikverein Hillmicke also plans to cooperate with the Hillmicke kindergarten for early musical education and introduce monthly joint samples for children and adolescents to strengthen cohesion.

For 2024, the Seemann chapel has a variety of events in the schedule, including three rifle festivals, morning pints and two music festivals in Hünsborn and but, as well as the Wendener Kirmes.
