Jazzy Christmas sounds: New Brass Bigband inspires in Mußbach!
On December 26, 2024, the Christmas concert of the New Brass Bigband took place in the Protestant Johanneskirche in Mußbach. The event was part of a festive program that presented both traditional and modern Christmas carols in a jazzy style. The event began with the choral "It has sprung a rose" and showed a special atmosphere, which was additionally enriched by the greeting of the visitors by Pastor Thomas Klein of the Protestant parish of Gimmeldingen-Königsbach-Mußbach.
Pastor Klein also accompanied the concert with texts and contributed to the emotional connection of the audience to music. Under the direction of Ralph "Mosch" Himmler, the New Brass Bigband offered a varied program, which included songs like "In Dulci Jubilo", "What Child", "God Rest You Merry Gentlemen", "O Tannenbaum", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "Feliz Navidad". A large number of ensembles were involved in the concert, including a tubatrio, a trumpet quartet and a saxophone quartet, which contributed to the extensive sound image of the evening, such as Treffpunkt-Pfalz reported.
