Experience the history of the buses in the Märkisches Kreis!
On Saturday, January 11, 2025, the traditional bus Mark-Sauerland e.V. (TMS) opened its doors for the first time in the new year. The event took place in the BHG business park at Gartenstraße 49 in Lüdenscheid and enjoyed numerous visitors. The opening times were from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Visitors had the opportunity to take part in expert tours through the traffic history exhibition, which addresses the history of omnibus traffic in the Märkisches district. This exhibition is considered significant because the bus transport in the Märkisches Kreis is soon 100 years old.
highlights of the event
The event also included the conductor lounge, in which warm and cold drinks were offered. In addition, the successful cooperation with the railway fans and model railway club Lüdenscheid (EFMEC) continued in 2025. From 4 p.m., an image lecture on the topic of "Railway in the west of Canada" was given in the TMS. Admission to the museum was free, but donations were requested.
In addition, the traditional bus portal reported that the general meeting of the traditional bus Mark-Sauerland e.V. took place on October 5, 2019. The reason for the meeting was the new election of the board after the resignation of the former board due to changed requirements. The new board consists of Lukas Röther as 1st chair, Andreas Nies as 2nd chair, Irina Graf as treasurer, Kai Vervoort as secretary and Sven Theuerkorn as youth representative. Steffen Künne, the former 1st chairman, takes on another, unspecified role.
