Discover the faith: Free alpha course starts in Landau!
The community in Landau will offer an alpha course from February 5, 2025, which deals with the topics of "God" and "faith". The course starts at 6:30 p.m. and is aimed at everyone who wants to discover the Christian faith and ask questions regardless of previous knowledge, knowledge of the Bible, faith or church membership. The course sequence provides for a meal together, a short lecture and exchange in small groups.
The alpha course is free and starts with a non-binding trial evening. During the course that includes a total of ten meetings, the participants meet Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. to around 9 p.m. in the community, Marie-Curie-Straße 3 in Landau. Pastor Johannes Köhler will lead the event.
What distinguishes the alpha course?
The alpha course was originally developed by the Anglican Church Holy Trinity Brompton in London and is now offered by churches of all denominations in 169 countries. Around 30 million people worldwide have already taken part in an alpha course. As on alphakurs.de , Alpha explores central questions of life in a relaxed atmosphere, the meaning of God and the importance of Christianity.
The course offers an interactive series for several weeks for participants who want to get to know the basics of Christian faith. In an open and safe environment, the participants have the opportunity to exchange thoughts and feelings. There are no false questions, and all interested parties are encouraged to ask difficult questions and share their own beliefs.
Registration for the alpha course is recommended at www.er-leben.de/alpha , but spontaneous guests are also welcome. The structure of the course enables various options for participation: personally in various locations, online via zoom or hybrid, i.e. in combination of both.
