Bach's masterpiece back in Kamenz
The Christmas Oratorio of Johann Sebastian Bach has been performed in Kamenz since 1946 when it was first sounded in the difficult post -war period. At that time, music gave people strength and courage to live. This year, around 80 participants, including 60 singers and 20 musicians from the Collegium Musicum, will come together to celebrate this festive music. Ticket prices are affordable, reduced with a pre-sale price of 15 euros or 12 euros, and students up to the age of 16 have free admission, such as "https://www.kamenz.de/veranstaltung_kamenz_ausfuehrlich/johann-sebastian-bach-weihnachtoratorium-kantaten-1-3.html"> kamenz.de indicated.
The performances include the best -known moments of the oratorio, such as the magnificent entrance choir "Jauchzet frohlocket, at price set". The event is supported by the Upper Lusitz-Lower Silesia cultural area and the city of Kamenz, which makes the return of this musical jewel a special occasion. The rehearsals started shortly after the Thanksgiving Festival, and the expectations are high that the audience will react enthusiastically to the performances.
