Nikolaus tournament enthusiastic: 300 euros for people in need!

The 16th Nikolaust tournament of TSV Bindlach took place in the Bärenhalle in a festive atmosphere on Monday. Traditionally shortly before St. Nicholas Day, the volleyball tournament attracted numerous teams, whereby the proceeds from the event of the Kurier Foundation "People in Need" benefited. With a triumphal conclusion, the "Munich Bubn" secured first place after an exciting final against the Berneck Batscher with 25:23 points. This sporting challenge was not just about victory: in total fairness, all teams without referees played, which increased the fun factor, such as Kurier reported.

The committed participation and the support of numerous volleyball teams could increase the income of the tournament to an impressive 400 euros. This sum is donated to the Kurier Foundation "People in Need" who takes care of help for the needy. "It is particularly nice that players accept extra far trips to take part in this special event," added Maik Hagemann, an organizer of the tournament. The tournament should also take place next year, whereby there is already a great interest from other teams, as well as People in emergency

In addition to sporting activity, the social cohesion was strengthened by this event. All teams involved enjoyed the joint experience and competition, while the members of the Kurier Foundation already referred to the importance of support for the needy. The success of the Nikolaust tournament impressively shows how sport and charity can go hand in hand.
