Melina Kröger from Verden showed an impressive performance at the Bremen Marathon event. She reached second place in the women's run over the 10 kilometers and improved to a time of 39:06 minutes, which is an almost one -minute increase compared to its previous result.
A total of 19 athletes from the LG Kreis Verden started, with twelve of them competing in the 10 kilometer race. The competition was great because Kröger competed against 743 other women. Her club colleague took first place from the men, Thiemo Klein from Oyten, who finished 38:51 minutes and thus crossed the finish line as third in the M35. Other runners from Verden also achieved remarkable results.

among the male participants, Hendrik Meyer ranks ninth in the M30 with a time of 41:08 minutes. Ole Neumann followed the tenth in the M35 in 42:27 minutes, while Jörg Ebeling from Cluvenhagen took fifth place in the M50 with 44:40 minutes. Another remarkable runner was Bernd Cordes from Bendingbostel, who after almost 40 years in the high jump and javelin throw after 49:29 minutes as a seventh of the M55.
In the other age groups there were also pleasant placements. Doreen Haase from Cluvenhagen was 54:02 minutes 18. Wilfried Haase took tenth place in the M65 with 55:14 minutes. Hilmar Mügge came fourth in the M70 with a time of 56:42 minutes. Peter Kolp, also from Cluvenhagen, reached the M60 category as 63. With 67:53 minutes.
for the youth U18, Lennart Witte from Cluvenhagen was fourth in 48:07 minutes, while his brother Fynn took twelfth place in the U20 with 50:50 minutes. These range of services show the great preparation and the use of the local athletes.
In addition, the half marathon was a highlight for Josephine Beneke from Thedinghausen. After a long break, she celebrated a successful comeback and took ninth place among 1321 women with a time of 1:37:32 hours. Mark Rethmeier from Verden followed 1:46:59 hours as 584. Among 2324 men and reached 49th in the M45. Bernd Kaumkal from Cluvenhagen came in 1:56:07 hours in 17th place in the M65 and Gisela Lühring from Holtebüttel was third in the W65 with 2:11:19 hours.
Robert Fuchs from Verden and Heinz-Hermann Fetter from Cluvenhagen ran with good results in the marathon. Fuchs completed the marathon in 3:40:20 hours and took 22nd place in the M50, while fetting came to fifth in the M65 after 4:11:32 hours.
