Honorary member Rudolf Borcherding: A sports pioneer leaves us

The Kaarster Sport mourns the loss of a legend: Rudolf Borcherding, an outstanding member of the sports community (SG) Kaarst, died shortly before his 96th birthday. Borcherding, known for his passion and commitment, passed exams on the German sports badge until the age of 90 and won them more than 40 times. He was not only a founding member of the SG Kaarst, which was created in 1972 from the merger of several sports clubs, but also one of the first treasurer of the Neuss district sports association, which he led with great meticulousness.
