St. Petrikirche Seehausen: Experience panoramic views by QR code!
In Seehausen, the St. Petrikirche now has a fascinating new attraction to offer that attracts both locals and tourists. From now on, visitors can admire the impressive three -aisled hall church from the 12th century comfortably and without effort - and even conveniently with a smartphone. The key to this new experience? A QR code that releases a panoramic view of the church and its surroundings.
Walter Fiedler, a committed tube and member of the Petrikirche friend and sponsor, recently discovered this note with the QR code during his church. Initial curiosity quickly turned into enthusiasm when he found out that the code enables visitors to explore the St. Petrikirche in impressive detail-both from the inside and outside. "The guests can now enjoy the beauty of the church in a relaxed manner," said Fiedler, who is proud of this innovation.
panoramic view for everyone
With the QR code, visitors can easily access their smartphones and look at the church from an optimal perspective. This is part of an initiative by the State Office for Monument Conservation and Archeology Saxony-Anhalt, in which such a code was made available to all churches on the Romanesque street. "It is really gratifying that we have this digital option that is also important for tourists," said Fiedler. He himself likes to show interested visitors the special features of the church and uses the technology to pass on his knowledge.
However, if you don't want to miss the reality version of the panoramic view, you have the chance to visit the church until October 15, 2023. On this date, the church will be open on Sundays, except on Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and invites everyone to enjoy the wonderful view of Seehausen, the Elbe valley and the northern Altmark.
The expansion of this digital service fits perfectly to celebrate the Romanesque street, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. On the corresponding website, interested parties can already look at many churches of the Romanesque street in a panoramic view, which is a great way to digitally experience regional treasures. The northern route extends from Magdeburg to Havelberg, while the southern route leads to Halberstadt and Quedlinburg. Arendsee and Seehausen are also part of this impressive series.
The QR code not only makes the St. Petrikirche discovering easier, but also more entertaining, and offers an insight into the history and architecture of the region that makes many people beat faster.
