Laga 2027: Wittenberge blooms - Altmarkers are in demand!
Seehausen, Deutschland - The preparations for the State Garden Show (LAGA) 2027 in Wittenberge are in full swing! Managing Director Ernst Volkhardt and his assistant Ann Stürzbecher have big plans and want to actively involve the Altmarkers from the north of Saxony-Anhalt's spectacle. In an exciting conversation with the AZ, Volkhardt announced that the opening will take place on April 21, 2027 and that the event lasts until October 24, 2027. A total of 186 days full of blooms and experiences are imminent!
With an impressive number of visitors of 450,000 tickets, Volkhardt calculates, which highlights the attractiveness of the event under the motto "Wittenberge blooms on". The highlights include the city park, the water tower with the new drinking hall, the Clara-Zetkin-Park and the innovation quarters on Külzberg. The project around the water tower is particularly exciting: visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view at a height of 23 meters and then stop into the redesigned drinking hall. A former excursion restaurant is converted into a new bistro, which brings a fresh air to the region!
sustainable construction projects and large investments
The preparations are not only a festival for the eyes, but also an economic upswing! Volkhardt works closely with Wittenberges building manager Martin Hahn to realize sustainable construction projects that will benefit the city in the long term. The investments in Wittenberge amount to an impressive 25 million euros, with a significant part covered by grants. Volkhardt is optimistic: "In Höxter, Laga in 2023 brought a added value of twelve million euros, and we also hope for similar successes!"
