Viennese language problems: Every second among the first graders has defects!
Viennese language problems: Every second among the first graders has defects!
In Vienna, education policy is bubbling! On February 5, Karl Mahrer and Harald Zierfuß from the Vienna People's Party presented determined countermeasures for alarming German funding in kindergartens. As they emphasized, almost 50 percent of the newly trained children are currently to be classified as extraordinary due to poor knowledge of German. This means that despite their school maturity, they cannot follow the lessons. Ornamental foot blames the inactivity of the City Councilor of Education Christoph Return (NEOS), the balance sheet of which is considered catastrophic in this matter. Out of 22,000 school beginners in Vienna, 11,000 particularly urgent help, such as . .
The “Mission German” initiated by return provides for external support to be requested to teach the children German. But the ÖVP considers this to be a sign of "bizarre actionism". Instead, Mahrer and Zierfuß presented a seven-point plan that should lead to the fact that each child speaks German until school in five years. Central elements are the mandatory language status for all three years old children and a mandatory kindergarten visit for children with a need for German. Ornamental foot also criticized that 40 percent of children in Vienna do not receive German support from their own forces and made it clear: "Before school, the problem must be tackled in kindergartens!" This is clearly shown by the shattering numbers that Mahrer presented, and the MeinDZIRD
While the Viennese ÖVP makes clear demands on the city government, counter -recurrence countered that the responsibility for the situation in the federal government lies with sufficient funds. The debate about the right strategy for language support continues, while the educational landscape in Vienna remains in the balance. Where are the solutions? And when do the children get the funding they urgently need?
