Students are committed to free hygiene articles in schools!

In an exciting step to improve hygiene in schools, director Philipp Schneider has presented a new initiative that aims to provide hygiene articles for schoolchildren. Together with the student union and a pharmacy, stainless steel dispensers for tampons were installed in the women's toilets, which are filled in regularly. Schneider emphasizes: "It was important to us that all girls can be reached, regardless of whether the parents take care of themselves or the cultural or social background." This measure is intended to ensure that all pupils, from 10 to 18 years, have access to necessary hygiene articles, which was received positively by the pupils and the school community, such as Salzburg.Af.at reported.

mobile phone usage in class regulated

At the same time, there are important developments in terms of mobile phone use in schools. The Ministry of Education has made it clear that cell phones are generally not allowed during the lesson, unless they are used as a useful teaching tool. While so -called “cell phone garages” have been set up in many schools in which the devices are kept, the federal school spokeswoman Mira Langhammer demands a differentiated handling of the topic. "Cell phones must not become a taboo subject at school," said Langhammer. She suggests that rules for every school should be discussed and worked out to find the right balance between use and prohibition, such as school.at

In particular in primary level, the use of smartphones should be severely restricted. In the higher school levels, there is a call for personal responsibility, whereby pupils should be encouraged to use their cell phones sensibly during the breaks and to take them in class. Nevertheless, experts advocate clear agreements to minimize the risk of cyberbullying and inappropriate content in digital classrooms.
