An exciting change is imminent at the Stuttgart schools! Holger zur Hausen will be the new headmaster of the Elly-Heuss-Knapp-Gymnasium from August 1, 2025. He succeeds Norbert Edel, who retires after many years in School. Holger to Hausen, born in 1971 and from Koblenz, has an impressive career in education. After studying at the Saarland University, he taught at the Edith Stein-Gymnasium for several years and finally took over the management of the Zeppelin-Gymnasium, where he gave decisive impulses for the all-day design. Since 2020 he has headed the German School in Barcelona, as on the website of the regional council rp.badenwuertttemberg.de
new rector at the Zeppelin-Gymnasium
But that's not the only personnel change in Stuttgart: Tim Praßel will now work as a new rector at the Zeppelin-Gymnasium. He has already headed the school temporarily since Holger moved to Barcelona in August 2020. Praßel, also born in 1971 and a native of Oldenburg, has over 20 years of experience at the institution. He not only worked as a teacher there, but also actively participated in school development processes, including the introduction of an open all -day offer. His professional career in the Zeppelin-Gymnasium shows his deep connection with the school, which in an article of the Stuttgart Nachrichten is shown in detail.
The future leadership of both schools promises a breath of fresh air and new ideas that could flow into both the student body and the teaching area. With the new school heads, an exciting chapter for the Stuttgart educational institutions is opened!
